If you’ve been following along with my posts about Digital Tim, I figured it was time for a proper introduction.
Rather than one big, vague AI blob, Digital Tim is split into a set of personas – each one representing a different part of me, my interests, and the stuff I spend far too much time thinking about.
Here’s the crew…
Why split it this way?
There’s a real benefit to segmenting personas programmatically as each Tim has access to only the data relevant to them.
For example:
-
DJ Tim pulls from YouTube sets, SoundCloud mixes, DJ-tagged blog posts, and DJ Q&A.
-
General Tim has access to media reviews, so if you want film opinions, he’s your man.
This setup makes the knowledge cleaner, the responses sharper, and the system way more scalable.
The best part is, I can add new personas over time, plug in new data stores, and you’ll be able to interact with them straight away – all filtered through the same personality layer so it still sounds like me.
Same Tim.
Different lenses.
